ZHANG Kaiyan

About Me

I obtained my Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in June 2025. Currently, I am a Research Assistant at the Visual AI Lab, HKU, supervised by Prof. Kai Han. Prior to this, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT).

Previously, I worked as an Algorithm Engineer at BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen, China (2021-2023). My role involved developing perception algorithms for autonomous driving, which included 3D occupancy prediction, multi-sensor fusion, and parking space detection.
